LEARNING TO PRAYERFULLY LISTEN TO SCRIPTURE
FEBRUARY 25
10:00 - 11:30 AM
RIVERSIDE, CA
-
Lectio divina is a way of reading and responding to Scripture with the awareness that its Author is present with us. Learning this traditional prayer practice will provide students with a framework to commune with God for the rest of their lives.
-
Grounded
Lectio for Kids is led by Kristi Dietz, a certified Spiritual Director, and teen volunteers. Each family will receive a lectio divina overview sheet to continue the conversation at home.
-
Engaging
Students will learn fun hand motions for each of the prayer movements and will even get to paint their own prayer in response to the reading. Snacks of fruits, veggies, and allergen-free cookies will be provided.
-
Just for Kids
While students learn lectio divina, parents can grab a cup of San Francisco Blue Bottle coffee to take with them elsewhere in the park, or offsite, where they can enjoy their own time with Jesus.
